Katrina is a Natural Resource Biologist with 7 years of environmental experience working for consulting firms and local government in the Okanagan, Northwest BC and Alberta, New Zealand and Australia.
Katrina’s experience has focused on land use planning and approvals, environmental assessments, contamination assessments and environmental monitoring. Her biology experience includes terrestrial wildlife and vegetation surveys, rare and endangered plant surveys, aquatic assessments, fish salvage and habitat restoration. Katrina’s environmental monitoring experience includes construction environmental monitoring (water intakes, bridge/culvert, moorage/marina, and railway/highway construction), water quality monitoring, compliance monitoring and wildlife monitoring.
Katrina has a focus on local development projects and is able to provide useful recommendations for best management practices during construction. Out of work Katrina enjoys hiking, climbing, biking, snowboarding, skiing and travel.
